StéliosLazarou

Stélios Lazarou is a musician, composer and producer working at the crossroads of musical traditions and contemporary practices. Having trained in Early music at the Conservatory, his work is a synthesis of sound between Early and electronic music, questioning the place of music in our cultural heritage and advocating for the invention of new rites and sensory experiences.

Stélios Lazarou is a graduate of the Schola Cantorum in Basel and of the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles. He leads several projects in which he combines electronic music and ancient flute, notably with the group Lolomis, of which he is co-creator and with which he has released three albums on the Buda Musique and Harmonia Mundi labels, all three of which have been acclaimed by the press (Télérama, Le Monde, Les Inrocks, Radio Nova, France Inter, FIP, France Culture, etc.). These projects have led him to perform at the Vieilles Charrues, the Transmusicales de Rennes, the Primeurs de Massy, the Suds à Arles, the Inouis du Printemps de Bourges, the Traversées de Tatihou, and the Scène Nationale de Dieppe.

In 2021 he launches the solo “stelios‧exe” whose 1st EP was released in 2022.
