TheFarSide

The mosaic of performances, electronic soundscapes and digital media opens a dialogue between ancient and futuristic myths. A sensory experience, highlighting the metamorphoses of bodies.

"The Far Side" guides the audience through a fiction with a dissonant morality, highlighting various aspects of the cabinets of curiosities. The performance proposes different narratives of human history through the story of three fallen gods.

The performers are the hosts of the cabinet and invite the audience to a close and interactive encounter. Both victim and accomplice, the audience is at the mercy of the performers' stories and experiments.

*"The company develops its research in an unconventional, iconoclastic and experimental way around surprising themes. In The Far Side, everything mixes together, from the scenography and costumes of bric-a-brac, astronauts and Chinese tales, a miniature golf course with a "Mummenschanz" revival or a christic figure embracing the world with a big "Hello World". The team's creativity seems limitless, unbridled and constitutes an artistic universe in itself very singular."* - Guillaume Guilherme, dance mediator & host at the Tanzhaus Zürich, jury member for the June Johnson Dance prize 2019
